On 08/29/21, Hurricane Ida tested our beautiful state of Louisiana. “Louisiana Rising” represents the Resilience of our home towns, and the Hope we have for our future. The Pirogue stands for Cajun Navy’s rescue of those in need, nesting beneath the Oak Tree signifying strength. It is filled with indigenous flowers- the Magnolias symbolize Perseverance, Hydrangeas represent Gratitude while Daisies signify New Beginnings. The Fireflies remind us of the hard work by the linemen Restoring Light in our communities. Once again, and as always, Louisiana will Rise Above.
